The Recycling Information Booth provides information on waste reduction techniques such as recycling and composting. Information is also available on identification and proper disposal of commercial waste, household hazardous waste, and construction debris. The booth is a collaborative effort between the San Diego County Office of Education and the City of San Diego Environmental Services Department. Interactive games are featured teaching recycling rules in San Diego and general information on waste reduction.

Have you ever wanted to be a news reporter? Kids of all ages can experience this unique, interactive exhibit. Kids and Adults have the opportunity to become reporters, with a full green-screen experience. Stump the Engineer
Engineering can be incorporated into anything and make it cooler. Don’t think so? Robotsaura invites you to “stump the engineer.” Challenge the speaker with any idea and she will add engineering to it to make it cooler!
Saura Naderi, or Robotsaura, is the designer of the engineering experience at Thinkabit Lab at Qualcomm. She will talk about how engineering is a means to create, build, design, imagine, just about anything.

The theme of our booth will be Bridging Biology and Engineering to turn DNA into Medicine. We plan to have 2 stations within our booth; the 1st will be geared toward elementary school age children and the 2nd toward middle school/high school aged children.
