Through my art piece, 3D Praxinoscope, guests will have the opportunity to learn about early moving picture devices and the science behind what makes still images appear to move. As an interactive piece, guests may spin the 3D Praxinoscope and view the images come to life! As its name implies, the images use 3D anaglyph stereoscopy to add an illusory layer of depth to flat, two-dimensional images. Guests may utilize provided 3D anaglyph glasses to view the 3D effect. If required, I will provide copies of my abstract, which details my inspiration, behind-the-scenes notes, and lists the materials used in constructing this art piece.
