Project Lead The Way (PLTW) and San Diego State University's Society of Women Engineers (SWE) chapter are hosting a Spring 2016 Girls Day Out just for middle school girls on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 1pm-4pm at San Diego State University (SDSU). Students will have the opportunity to explore a few STEM fields with hands-on activities and interact with SDSU's SWE chapter and other student organizations, while parents/chaperones will learn about scholarship opportunities, various STEM programs for their daughters, and much more.
Please note that registration is first come, first serve until the spots are filled. In order to maximize our outreach efforts to as many middle schools in San Diego, we are limiting registration to 5 girls per middle school. Once you've submitted this application form, you must confirm your attendance by completing the 2 following steps by January 25th: 1) paying the $10 registration fee (payment link will be provided in your confirmation email), and 2) mailing/emailing us your parent permission form. Otherwise, your spot will be given to a student on our Wait List. If you have any questions, please contact Michelle Bunn, PLTW Affiliate Director, at mbunn@mail.sdsu.edu.
