Photonics and Lasers

Welcome to LKW STEM FOUNDATION’s presentation of “Magical Adventures & Illusions in the STEMverse”, a hands-on enrichment experience where science feels like magic and every learner becomes an explorer of curiosity. In this program, students rotate through four interactive “stations” that transform traditional STEM into enchanting, magical adventures. Each rotation invites learners to discover, create, and problem-solve through activities that feel as exciting as they are educational!

Join the astrophysicists of UC San Diego as they take you on an out-of-this world journey into the cosmos! Our booth will feature interactive demonstrations including build-your-own telescope, look through a real telescope at the Sun, cratering the Moon, the Solar System in Petco Park, make your own gravitational wave, and more! Guests of all ages can enjoy our activities!
