Visit the San Diego Padres booth for an interactive, educational experience that brings baseball science to life. Guests can explore fun questions like “Does a heavier ball travel faster or slower when you throw it?” and learn how physics, technique, and athletic performance come together on the field. Try out our inflatable bullpen to test your throwing skills, grab a small Padres giveaway, and sign up to learn more about our educational tours.

Established in 2004, San Diego Taiko is a group dedicated in building member skills and a diverse performance repertoire. Our mission is to share our passion for taiko with the San Diego community through performances and workshops, and to provide an opportunity for local taiko players to hone their abilities. The show will demonstrate and exhibit Japanese Taiko techniques, rhythm and crowd engagement.

We will have Educators with artifacts that participants can interact with (e.g., touch fur, horn, skulls) and learn about wildlife and conservation. We will also have an activity where participants learn about different conservation actions they can take and commit to, and add to an art piece.

Join CCOE, CAREERworks and National Foundation for Autism Research (NFAR) for fun and engaging hands-on challenges designed to help students get cyber ready! “Build a Computer” – students will match and assemble hardware components to understand how computer systems work. This activity is aligned with the CompTIA A+ certification, which is part of the IT training we provide in our programs. “Spot the Hacker” – a phishing game where students review sample emails and decide whether they are legitimate or malicious.

Do you want to know what a strand of DNA looks like? Find out at Hologic’s booth! Work with a team of professionals to extract DNA!

We will demonstrate many of the physical science aspects of nuclear fusion, including: electricity, magnetism, differential pressure, and low temperature fluids. The presentation will serve to bridge the gap between what the audience already knows and how scientists use that knowledge to operate the nation's largest fusion tokamak.
