San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance
An interactive booth where folks make a pledge for conservation while contributing to a community art piece. Educators from the Zoo and Safari Park will be available to discuss SDZWA global conservation work and how it connects to our everyday lives in San Diego.
County of San Diego: Department of Parks and Recreation
Partner of Live Well San Diego, County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation's park rangers will be hosting a discovery touch table and will educating the public about the live animals (reptiles) that will be accompanying them. The department will also be providing information about local recreational and wellness family-friendly activities that are held throughout County Parks and Preserves.
County of San Diego's Department of Environmental Health & Quality - Hazardous Materials Division & Beach and Bay Program
The Department of Environmental Health & Quality will be conducting an interactive exercise where attendees can hold a CO2 bubble. Additionally, the Hazardous Material Division and the Beach and Bay Program will provide information regarding the regulation and handling of Hazardous Materials & Hazardous/Medical Waste. The Beach and Bay program will be providing information regarding the sampling and posting of signs warning of contaminated water at beaches affected by sewage spills.
