Cajon Valley Union School District will share some of their innovative maker activities. At Cajon Valley students learn Presentation Literacy by writing and presenting their own TED talks. Students learn computer programing through our partnership with code.org, engineering with Lego EV3 Mindstorm robots, Dash and Dot robots and many more opportunities. DINOSAURS In celebration of our traveling exhibition, ULTIMATE DINOSAUR, we will explore all things dinosaur. We'll play the dinosaur brain game, bone match and more!

The Recycling Information has brochures, fliers, and signage relaying information on waste reduction techniques, such as composting and recycling. An interactive game, "Sponge Bob Basketball," is featured, teaching participants recycling rules for San Diego. Recycle-themed prizes are awarded to players, such as rulers made from boxes, and pencils made from newspaper. Information is also available on proper disposal of hazardous waste and construction and demolition debris.

Pure Water San Diego is the City's phased, multi-year program that will provide one-third of San Diego's water supply locally by 2035. The booth will include educational/informational materials, giveaways and an interactive water quiz board.

The UC San Diego Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research and the Center for Healthy Eating and Activity Research (CHEAR) are teaming up to recruit for various research studies on healthy eating and skill-based learning. Our research integrates brain imaging modalities to understand brain structure and function in eating disorders. CHEAR develops and provides treatments for promoting healthy eating and weight management to children, adolescents, adults through science and innovation.

The Center for Selective C-H Functionalization will have a booth for the Expo Day with simple demos to educate K-12 students and beyond about synthetic organic chemistry. We will have Center graduate students volunteering for 2 hr shifts to engage with the participants. The demos are designed to be 2-3 minutes.
