STEAM Week Live Main Stage
The San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering, presented by the Illumina Foundation, will be fully virtual this year from April 24-May 2 on lovestemsd.org.
The Live Main Stage event is from 10am-6pm on Tuesday, April 27 and Wednesday, April 28 with fun and interactive STEAM activities, a special Women in STEAM event as well as a COVID-19 conversation for kids and teens.
Barrio Logan Science & Art Expo
This is NOT your average science event! The Barrio Logan Science & Art Expo is an inclusive annual event that brings together science, art, and culture. Join the Barrio Logan Association, UC San Diego, and various community partners as we highlight science, art and culture in the world around us and celebrate it through a relevant and cultural lens. Some demonstrations include the science behind lowriders, bikes, skateboards, tortillas, brewing, music and more! San Diego Nanotechnology Infrastructure (SDNI) K-12 Educational Symposium
This special event is catered to K-12 teachers, administrators and educational advocates interested in learning more about nanoscience, resources available to support educators in the classroom and the anticipated impact of nanoscience & technology on the workforce (detailed schedule available on Eventbrite).
U.S. Army Recruiting, Southern California
1-2 tables manned by 2-4 STEM field Soldiers and 1-2 U.S. Army Recruiters. We will have a hands-on display in the medical, construction, or bomb disposal fields.

STEM Possible is a career-pathways program geared toward high school juniors and seniors. The objective of STEM Possible is to show San Diego County’s high school students that no matter their interests or strengths, there is a place for them in the region’s science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, industries.

With many of our partner companies issuing new policies around forgoing events, we have made the difficult decision to POSTPONE the Women in STEM event, originally scheduled for March 10th, 2020.
We do intend to host this event in the future, likely in Fall 2020. We invite you to join us then! We will be sure to let each of you know all details for the rescheduled event as soon as we have them.
