Join us on the second Saturday of each month to investigate exciting science topics. Throughout the year, we will explore an array of fields including biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, physics, robotics and much more!

To take the tour, check in at the reception desk in the lobby of the main building at least 5-10 minutes before 1pm. Tours are limited to the first 60 people. Groups of 10 or more guests are required to mak a reservation in order to guarantee space on the tour. The Taylor Guitars factory tour takes guests through the steps of guitar construction and through the story of 2 local men who built up their dream from a young age. From wood selection to final assembly, guests will eperience each process as a guitar evolves from raw wood to a finished instrument.

Explore the scientific wonders of the world in this hands-on preschool science program designed for children ages 3–5 and an accompanying adult. Each four-week session is held on Thursday, Saturday or Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Registration includes access to the Fleet's exhibit galleries after class.

The 2016 San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering is very excited to announce that we will highlight a full week line-up of adult science events proving science exploration isn’t just for the kids! Think, Drink, Science welcomes educators, parents, fellow science enthusiasts, and beer lovers to come learn about “beer-ology" - the science behind the brewing process while enjoying delicious Ballast Point beers and appetizers. Take a tour, extract a strand of DNA, and learn about why certain foods taste so good with your beer.

The sky is falling! In this engineering challenge, children will create a device to protect Chicken Little if the sky does begin to fall.
