Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute (SBP)
We plan to showcase an experiment of research that reflects our work at SBP, in a creative and educational way that appeals to children of all ages. We are determining the theme now. There will be science-based giveaways and raffle prizes for adults and children, plus we may give out little lab coats as we did last year. (They were a hit!) Our volunteers, scientists. grad students and staff will be there interacting with the children and parents.

The School for Entrepreneurship and Technology
Our booth gives attendees a chance to learn about robotics and drive robots. We have formerly exhibited under the name Coleman Tech.
San Diego County Office of Education/City of San Diego Department of Environmental Services
The Recycling Information has brochures, fliers, and signage relaying information on waste reduction techniques, such as composting and recycling. An interactive game, "Sponge Bob Basketball," is featured, teaching participants recycling rules for San Diego. Recycle-themed prizes are awarded to players, such as rulers made from boxes, and pencils made from newspaper. Information is also available on proper disposal of hazardous waste and construction and demolition debris.
CaSTL Center & OSA-SPIE, Student Chapter at UC Irvine
We will provide a hands-on booth to engage visitors in learning about physics and chemistry through activities focused of the properties of light and lasers with members of OSA-SPIE and how bonds are formed and broken in molecules in an interactive game developed by CaSTL Center.
City of San Diego Public Utilities Department - Pure Water San Diego Program
Pure Water San Diego is the City's phased, multi-year program that will provide one-third of San Diego's water supply locally by 2035. The booth will include educational/informational materials, giveaways and an interactive water quiz board.
County of San Diego
Similar to last year, but with new activities, booth will feature Live Well San Diego is various ways using hands-on activities for children and families of the topics of health, safety and well-being.
Music Notes: Educational Hip Hop Concert
This is an educational concert (performed by classroom teachers) that encourages, motivates, and teaches students to strive for success in all areas of life, but more especially academia! Join us as we perform math songs and motivational songs that are sure to get students of all ages singing along!
