Small demonstrations, models of applied Science and Technology products (UAVs, Robotics, Advanced Energy Concepts) developed by General Atomics. History of General Atomics contribution to Science and Technology Community in San Diego.

JCS San Diego Academy

Our 1st tent will be an Art Laboratory where people learn about how the atomic elements cycle through the ecosystem. Our second tent will be a giant painting of a mad scientists lab, with a hole cut so that you can enter the painting. Inside the painting is a dance floor where people will be prompted to do chemistry related dances via our atomic disco ball and projected dance lessons as our elemental musics blasts to the rhythm of the expanding universe.

Thrive Public Schools, Team Hypernova

Mrs. Kristina H. Watkins leads her 7th grade STEM class from Thrive Public Schools through the Universe with the help of Big History Project. Students created murals, models and Minecraft manipulations of games synthesizing content. Team Hypernova collaborated to design, code and build portals to mini Minecraft games that will take players through fun and exciting playable challenges covering 13.8 billion years of time: The Big Bang Theory, Stars, Solar System, Earth and Life!

The Preuss School UCSD

Students will be showcasing how they used Citizen Science WEbbased platforms for their Science Fair projects. This project was a guided inquiry based project where students came up with an original question, collected data through various citizen science pages, while also helping scientists with their real world experiment.

AIAA San Diego

One table with aerospace related science projects on it and 2 or more volunteers who can talk to the kids and show them our projects. We will bring our own table cloth cover and other exhibit materials, except the table and chairs.

Viasat

Students will build their own game controller using a Makey Makey and conductive materials and use it to play a Minecraft-inspired racing game. Next, students will have the option to use MIT's Scratch drag-and-drop programming language to code their own version of the game.

Think Blue San Diego

the think blue booth will contain two 6-7 ft tables (if these can be provided by event coordinator that would be ideal) featuring a variety of giveaways exchanged for participation in a survey/questionnaire. there will also be banners illustrating the storm drain system and an interactive watershed model.
