International Bridge Technologies, Inc.

Our practicing bridge engineers will share their knowledge and passion for structural engineering, which draws on math, physics, design, art, materials, and construction. In addition to illustrative exhibits, we provide an engaging hands-on model bridge building activity that is designed to introduce youth of all ages to basic structural engineering concepts. Bridge model kits are used, consisting of paint-mixing sticks, binder clips, chains, S-hooks, and large bottles of water for load testing.

ViaSat

Did you know that you can write your name, or in this case your initials, using binary coding using the ASCII code that computers read? Computers assign a string of 0’s and 1’s in different combinations and that translates as images or words on a computer screen. For this activity you will pick three colors – one will represent 0, one will represent 1 and the last we will use as a space between letters.

Cajon Valley School District - TEDxKids@ElCajon

Cajon Valley Union School District will share some of their innovative maker activities. At Cajon Valley students learn Presentation Literacy by writing and presenting their own TED talks. Students learn computer programing through our partnership with code.org, engineering with Lego EV3 Mindstorm robots, Dash and Dot robots and many more opportunities. BOSEbuild

The BOSEbuild Speaker Cube is a complete kit that lets kids explore the science of sound by making a Bose® Bluetooth® speaker – and using their creativity to personalize it with colors and covers. Using our new BOSEbuild Speaker Cube, our hands-on activity will show you what it takes to make sound and showcase what is at the heart of every speaker.

iD Tech is proud to provide STEAM activities for kids and teens this year at EXPO Day! Visit our booth to explore how you can "Make Awesome" with Minecraft, robotics, virtual reality, 3d printing, and more!

Fleet Science Center

At the "Fleet Science Zone," visitors age 6 and older are invited to test out their sharp-shooting skills with our popular Air-Zooka...knock over various objects with nothing but air! Visitors will also get a glimpse into our famous Tinkering Studio, where curious minds come to innovate!
