MilliporeSigma and the Curiosity Cube
The Curiosity Cube is a retrofitted shipping container that has been transformed into a mobile science lab. It features interactive hands-on science experiments using the latest technology to spark curiosity in the next generation of scientists. The Curiosity Cube allows us to extend our impact beyond the classroom to reach students and their families at public events. The Curiosity Cube experiments are led by local MilliporeSigma employees.
San Diego Children's Discovery Museum
We will bring our Mobile Children's Museum exhibits. These exhibits are mobile versions of the pieces we have at the Museum that foster engineering, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Potential exhibits include our Rigamajig, Ball Wall, Imagination Playground, or Rokenbok. All exhibits are STEM-based.

San Diego County Vector Control Program/Live Well San Diego
We will show live larvae samples, mosquito eggs, larvae, pupae, and adults to be observed under microscopes. We will provide educational material and free resources to learn how to stay safe from vectors in San Diego County. In addition to this, there will be displays of what to look out for in your community or household that could attract vectors to your homes. In addition to this, we will provide FREE repellent samples and other fun giveaways for everyone who stops by our booth!
County of San Diego/Live Well San Diego
The County of San Diego, Department of Homeless Solutions and Equitable Communities, Office of Equitable Communities will provide an interactive STEAM-related activity as part of the Science and Engineering Festival. This activity will be a hand washing demonstration and activity. We are requesting to be set-up near the Live Well bus.
San Diego County Office of Education - Play Math
Our "PlayMath!" booth provides interactive experiences for children and their families to play with patterns, shapes and puzzles. Children and adults alike appreciate the challenge of the SOMA puzzle and the beauty of pattern blocks. We also share two activities people can take with them throughout the rest of the festival - a shape finder and number game - spreading the math engagement throughout the day.
Northrop Grumman
Stop by the Northrop Grumman booth to learn how we are defining possible. We design, develop, build and support some of the world’s most advanced products. Whether it’s making a 200 ton airplane invisible, predicting cyber attacks before they happen or solving the mysteries of the universe. STEM Activities: Slime station and build a propeller powered paper plane to take home.
USS Midway Museum
Promoting visitation to the Midway (San Diego's #1 attraction), overnight and youth programs, etc. Specific hands-on activity TBD.
Lilly
Lilly will offer a series of hands-on, interactive or observational learning opportunities for a diverse audience, primarily (not exclusively) targeting pre-K, grad and middle school. Attendees will walk through different learning stations revolving around the concept of DNA structure and function, and effect of its modifications in biological models. Temporary tattoos, other giveaways will be available.
