Mechanical Advantage

Mechanical Advantage is a nonprofit corporation and FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team. Mechanical Advantage has been supporting this event since 2019 by providing hands-on robotics experiences for attendees of all ages. Attendees can have fun learning about robotics while operating table-top robots and driving a small, crowd friendly robot with soft tires that was designed just for large events like this. We have historically operated out of a 10’x10’ space.

Magnolia Science Academy San Diego

We will have two booths. At one booth, we will have various science projects being demonstrated including an air cannon! Guests will be invited to try out the cannon for themselves. At the other booth, we will have VEX Robotics, Lego Robotics, and underwater robotics. At this station, guests will also be guided by our students in creating their own bristle bots!

Verizon

Booth design & activity is still TBD as this is our first year participating in the event. Our new "local" marketing team will start evaluating options in the next 30 - 45 days.

Naval Information Warfare Pacific

AI vs Human: Can you sort objects (different vehicle types) faster than a robot? The human participant will be blind folded or obstructed from the view of the bin of different objects. The goal of the challenge will be for human and robot to sort the objects(vehicles) into three different bins in a set time limit (1 minute). This fun interactive experience highlights the core disciplines (computer science, robotics, and machine learning) of our science and engineering workforce.

Treobytes

1. Drones - Tent for drones with net. Participants can test their piloting skills (possibility of changing it to a robot instead of drones) 2. Treobytes Projects Showcase & 3D printer: Participants can control a small robot and play with some of our latest Arduino projects. 3.
